Bariatric chairs
What do we mean when we say 'Bariatric' referring to some models of our chairs, like the Snowdon Extra Max, Brecon Extra Max, Snowdon Trio Extra Max, Brecon Trio Extra Max, Denbigh and Wentworth chairs?
The word 'Bariatrics' evolves from the Greek words 'Baros' meaning weight and 'iatrics' meaning medical treatment, and is generally accept as working with those of weights of 30 stone plus.
The Snowdon and Brecon chairs are able to accommodate weights of up to 35 stone, the Denbigh accommodating weights of up to 40 stone, and the Wentworth, of weights up to 50 stone.
Should you like to know a little more about each of these chairs, then please visit our web site and choose the 'Chairs' tab.
A little teaser:
We usually place a little teaser question on the home page of our web site for a bit of fun, and the teaser we have on it at the moment is asking viewers to make as many words of three letters or more, excluding plural words and proper nouns from the words - Bariatric chair.
So far we have got 61 words with one of them being a seven letter word. How well can you do?
The above picture is of the Denbigh three motor rise and recline chair, which is able to accommodate weights of up to forty stone, and is shown in the sitting position, the reclining position and the rising position.
The Wentworth chair is another three motor chair able to accommodate weights of up to fifty stone.
The Denbigh, Wentworth, and all the trio max model chairs have Vasco Reflex foam fitted as standard to the seats of the chairs, and may, if so desired be placed in the armrests and the footboard at an additional charge.
